The 2024 China International Confucius Cultural Festival opened on Sept 27 in Qufu, Shandong province. Elliot Maldonado, a US expert for China Daily Website, visited Luyuan Town, where he immersed himself in the beautiful scenery and traditional culture of Confucius' hometown.
From cuju, considered the earliest form of football, to kite flying and archery, he embarked on a journey through time to experience the world of Confucius.
